Depending on rider nerves/skills, anything can happen on the street. I have pulled many smaller displacement bikes on the streets and freeway. However, I have been walked by many too. A modern big displacement superbike would be hard to keep up with unless you have about 800hp in a lighter car.

Just a little bit ago, two sport bikes and 1 cruiser came cruising up fast from behind me. I gave it a quick burst of acceleration. The one blue/white bike, GSXR, FZ, CBR? gave chase and he never could pull away from me. The other bikes were far behind. We got up to the next intersection, and the guy the ran me gave me a thumbs up, and then the other guys had me roll down me window to tell me "damn that car is fast!" We then got on the freeway with me in front, so I just floored it to the next off ramp. I heard the same blue/white bike going by at what sounded like he was pretty close to redline. So again, I have had plenty of encounters like this, and then the ones where I get walked. One time me and a Ducati were getting on the freeway from the local canyon spot, we both got up to about 130, (his fully at high rpm for a Ducati), and he never could pass me. When I slowed down, he gave me a thumbs up too.

I know, me too .. maybe someone on these boards can do some experimenting and find out the limits of our internals... the fastest '10 Camaro in the country is running in the 10.XX at 135 with a 200 dry shot that raises power to 700+whp/700+lbft ..
