No mods. It is my combat commuter. I need to keep the warranties. I have another nice garage queen for my weekend play. Been thinking about some mods though, but will go with BMW brand.

I am obviously out of any new or extended warranties now, but with BMW's 2 year/unlimited miles individual part warranty, I might be able to keep this car running forever at a reasonable cost.

You're doing about the same as me per year, 37,000 per. It think it's the best way to use them, tons of miles, quickly.

Drive on.

I'm thinking of keeping my car for a little over 100k miles. How does it feel with that many miles now?

Considering the following items haven't had been attended to; due to other priorities...

1) On original suspension and shocks are worn out
2) Control arms bushings are leaking or have all leaked out

A) Car's steering is relativity tight, and still "feels" like a BMW.
B) Interior squeaks a bit more, and the (convertible) hardtop has a few extra rattles. But less than previously owned ragtops with lesser miles.
C) Climate Control fan starting to warble a bit on low speed setting. Most noticeable when car is stopped.
D) Engine does not like 89 octane at all, very noticeable power loss. (the station was out of 91aki.) Back when it was new, I experimented between 89 and 91 for a few tanks. My butt-o-meter couldn't tell the difference.
E) When the sun hits the windshield at the right angle, almost can't see through the pitting. (At times, it seems like there are more more gravel / cement trucks on Cali freeways than obstacle-in-the-road Priuses.)
F)Some interior trim could use a refresh.

At this time, I don't see why the car can't easily make 200K miles.

2) my TPMS went crazy one day and i had to reset it 3 times

Automatic.

Besides the usual having to reset my profile, everything was fine.

There must have been a remapping of the Auto included with that software load, because in "D" there's a bit more lurching on the 2-3 shift, while overall the "DS" shifting mode is smoother. This characteristic remains today.

Nice to know they hold up well.

Have you repalced your tranny and diff fluid at all or service more frequently than what the CBS tells you to do?

All fluids were changed DIY at ~102K miles. (except AT)

AT was replaced at 88K miles because the EGS quit talking to the DME. I didn't notice any differences, to me, everything was working fine, but Dealer and BMW did some troubleshooting for some other engine driveability issues and determined that the transmission and engine computers were no longer on speaking terms. A new DME and AT were authorized.

????

I don't know you, so why I should I care if you don't believe me. Besides, if I am trying to perpetrate a hoax, then I could easily p'shop the numbers.

Instead of being concerned of how many miles i've put on mine, go out for a nice drive in yours.
