RFT no longer standard?

I know there has been a lot debated about the merits of runflats/non-runflats but have just been looking at the BMW UK website. M sport spec is listed as:

18" light alloy M Star-spoke style 193M with mixed tyres
Electric Power Steering (EPS)
M Sport suspension
Mobility tyre sealing system

For the touring, does this mean no run flats then?

I think it means oversized rears. 225/40/18 Fronts, 255/35/18 Rears

I believe that the vehicles with "suspension optimised for runflats"

are changing to now have them as a cost option. Stealth price rise, or bowing to pressure?

Both I would say, BMW have turned it round to make money essentially, and pleasing everyone at the same time ?

The mixed does indeed mean difference in size front to rear, but where does it say on the website or the brochure above a non-RFT option??? If this is indeed an option, then I shall be taking it, but cannot find any reference - Don't get me started on RFTs......

It's always said 'mixed tyres'. The inclusion of a mobility kit does suggest non-rft's though.

The car I configured and bought says 'Run Flat Tyres. 258. £0.00'

The £0.00 usually shows where there is a choice but at no extra cost. Like Model Deletion or Aluminmium trim.

Sorry, just to further that I tried de-selecting them and got message 'the selection cannot be made with your current configuration' Tried removing M Sport Suspension first and got same message.

As with NFS, I thought the inclusion of a mobility kit means non-runflats as you don't need it with runflats.

I raised this the other week....

If you look further down the spec it still says 'run flat tyres'.

Seems odd for them to add the mobility kit - maybe a web error?

Presently, the ES (pov) spec models are the only ones where RFTs are a cost option and therefore optional.

All other models they are a no cost fixed 'option' i.e. standard.

Thought I read it before. It was the mobility kit (tyre sealing). Maybe it is a web error. doesn't show up on the car configurator. I was getting excited as I was dabbling with changing mine, wll it has been nearly two years

Mine was so much smoother with standard Tyres, and even better either H and R springs!

I was told at the end of Jan by my main dealer that non runflats would be optional on the LCI E92/E93. Maybe the website is in the process of change.
Has anybody asked at the dealer recently?

Spoken to my dealer this morning and they know nothing about this, as I was going to add it to my order, which incidently should be going in tomorrow, once I can finalise my spec!
