Xi suspension settling?
I know the rule is "you're not low enough until you scrape." just hear me out.
I picked up my Xi last july. when i got the car, the suspension was definitely crazy high. lately iv been looking into coils to get it a bit lower and add a firmer ride. recently we've been getting some warmer weather up here in the northeast so iv been out with the car. i can't help but notice that the car actually looks like it's got a bit of a drop. obviously nothing crazy but the gap in the front looks alot closer to the gap in the back than the way it was last summer. its the weirdest thing. the reason i bring this up is because i know that after installing coils or springs you need to let the car "settle" a bit until you get the final drop. is it possible that the Xi suspension needs to settle as well? has anyone else ever thought this or should i stop sniffing whiteout?

Yeah I hear what you are saying, my car I think was pretty high compared to some other xi's that I have seen in person. I just couldn't get past that wheel gap you can see in my first picture up front. It was obnoxious but with the V1's I am quite a bit happier. Much stiffer ride now and I have to be more careful with those darn parking lot concrete stops but all in all it's a great mod no matter what direction you go. |
