how to remove wax from rubber and trim

I got wax on the rubber seals and black trim around the doors. Now they are a little dull, and the rubber has white marks on it that just won't rub out. What product(s) do you guys recommend to remove the wax and brighten up the balck trim. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any results. Mabe add it to the detailing list.
Thanks all.

I had the same problem here the ONLY product that works and trust me on this one ( I have try them all ) is Mothers Back To Black period. is great for all sorts of exterior hardware in all colors-bumpers, molding, louvers, window trim, vents, seals, skirts, door handles, wiper arms-anything that's plastic, rubber or vinyl

you can found it in any auto store or wall-mart for under $6 easy to use just put a little on a 100% cotton tower ( I allways use some old sock) and that' it good luck !

A co-worker (and car enthusiast) with a Mini says that peanut butter works well for this.. I've been wanting to test this for a while now..

Lol--peanut butter? That is hilarious, but I guess if it works....

Peanut butter does work, it re-hydrates the trim. Alcohol and water mixed 50/50 also works by actually cleaning the wax/sealant from the trim. A good solution for the future would be to use a wax/sealant that doesn't stain trim - it saves me a lot of time.
