335 coupe release (FUJI shipment)
all of the cars but 335 coupes had reached to my dealership a week ago. But VPC is keep postponing 335 release. Initial release was Nov 4th now they say Nov 14th. Sales manager said there is an issue with car's emission. I don't know how true is that. But there is definitely an issue. since they release 328 coupe 10 days ago but haven't release 335 coupes which were in the same ship.
Also I have been in LA for last two weeks and I only saw two 335 coupe. Which it is not normal to see only 2 since half of the cars in LA's roads are BMWs. I wonder if any body else had same problem and delay? Ship arrived on 26th of October. Initial release was 30th of October, than 4th of Nov and now it is 14th of Nov:mad: |

Hi
My 335i coupe was on the Fuji - along with several members of this forum who have received their cars. I heard that there is an issue w/ the navigation. I doubt that there is an emission issue since my car was released. I do not have navigation howerver saw another 335i with nav at the dealer which I assumed arrived with my car. I would certainly try to escalate the issue with BMW. Try calling the BMW car club, they might be able to offer some guidence. Best of luck! |

I called 1-800 to get more info. You are right there is no emission problem for 335i coupes(but they mentioned to me that there is emission issue with M5 and Z4 M which cause delays sometimes). They said that my car might got some shipping damage that they are trying to fix. my dealership said that there should be a shipment tomorrow. so If not i will call the sales manager and ask him to find out the reason for this delay. One thing that i noticed was that the dealership had no 335i Coupe in their storage or in their store. they had a few when I ordered my car but haven't seen single one for a while. |

Hey guys, have you received your cars ?. I am having the same problem. Ship arrived NY on 11\26 th, this is a ED car, to be redelivered in South Florida. Some cars on same ship were delivered 4 days after arrival as far as Boston, all of those were 328's. There was one guy in NJ that got his 335 about 7 days later. Another guy in South Florida, also ED but 328 got his car last saturday, Dec 16th. But mine, not only has not arrived but I receive varied responses from my SA and from the European Delivery customer service. First they said it was at port, waiting customs, ED cars are treated differently and that may cause delay. Then on Dec 9th they said car was released to carrier and that part of the delay is that there was damage to one of the rims and it was repaired that same day and released to carrier. Then I was on the impression the car was on its way to So.Fla. As my SA says has no indication the car is on its way to his dealer, I called again the 1-800 number, and now they said the car was released last Friday when they said that a week ago. Now is supposed to be going from NY to the VPC in South Carolina to change trucks down to So. Fla.
At this point I do not even believe a word of what they are saying, what pisses me off  is that I feel they are hidding something and not being honest, when I see this threads, there is something going on, but yes there are people that are receiving their 335's. I am now on the 7th week after Europe drop off and starting to get a mix of feelings from frustration, anxiety, worry and anger. Please let us know if your cars have arrived or what "excuses" are you receiving from the 1-800 or your SA. Good Luck |
