Aux input in glove box

I use this to run my iPod. What are people doing to route the cable out of the glovebox. There is no hole or anything to run the cable out of there.

Driving around with the lid open is not an option and the thickness of the cable make it hard to shut the lid, in doing so it crushes the cable quite a bit.

Any ideas, I could just make a small hole at the base of the glove box out of sight but that seems a little extreme.

Any thoughts?

You could just get a remote for your iPod I guess.

Do you mean a wireless one that works with a blank radio frequency. I find those don't work worth a damn in a city. Too many siginals to interfere.

Thanks for the suggestion

That would be an FM transmitter, not an RF remote... FM transmitter modulates audio into an fm radio station... RF remote uses differnt "radio" frequencies in a totally different band to just control the ipod (play, stop, scroll)...

I´m confused.

The aux in is in the center console, the iPod Interface is in the glovebox. Which are you talking about?

I'm going to assume you're talking about the line in jack in the center console (the one your arm rests on while driving) and not the iPod intergration kit that goes in the glove box (where the flashlight is).

I'd recommend ponying up and just getting the iPod integration for the glove box, its really nice. Some people think its expensive but if you just spent $45,000 on a car what's another $500? You can also use the steering wheel buttons to control it so you don't need to use the click wheel on the iPod itself like I assume you do now.
