Catless DP and HKS Exhaust

I am currently running the HKS Cat back system. Still has cats on.

Anybody have this set up with Catless DP?

I am thinking about going the Catless DP route. Wanted to hear feedback on peoples results and feeback on their experience.

Cattless DP's add a very nice gain in power! You will notice the extra HP right away, unlike some other mods where it's not very noticeable. They do not change the sound too much, maybe a little deeper. My favorite part was how fast the turbos spool up, very noticeable. You won't regret them

I was reading the other Catless DP threads. Seems like a great mod!

I was curious if people ran the HKS Catback with Catless DP. Which one? Feedback?

Your right for Sure there is definitely a change in sound...turbo spool is so much more audible after going catless! Even a tap in the gas you here it a little!

Here's a Youtube clip of HKS and AR Dp's. You can really hear the turbos spool up.

Is there much of a gain going the otherway. By that I mean I have catless DP's now with stock exhaust, is there much inprovement going to the catless HKS exhaust?

the big gains are in the downpipes but removal of all cats obviously is the way to go if you are looking for max power gains.

removal of all cats is a big commitment; the smell is pretty terrible

It does smell, but nothing like the rotten egg smell, now that would be really terrible!

I just got my HKS exhaust installed today (AT) and I have catless DPs. Overall the install went ok with a couple of minor hiccups.

The car feels great however I have drone on light throttle between 1500 & 2000 rpm. I will probably have some install some hi-flow cats to see if that helps.

Catless downpipes with the stock exhaust sounds good IMO so with an aftermarket exhaust I'm sure it'll sound awesome.
