Synching the iPhone with the Bluetooth module
Hi guys, finally got around to synching my iphone to the cars bluetooth module after retiring my Sony one which was in the BMW approved list of phone. Did call up the BMW dealer a while ago to check compatibility since the iphone wasn't in the approved list for my car, they said it would take a very expensive software upgrade to recognise the iphone so I just kept using my old phone till my inquisitiveness got the better of me and i synched the iphone. All seems to be working fine so far, any of you had problems with getting the iphone to sync on 2006+ E90's?

I think using the cradle lets you use the cars antenna for better call reception but I haven't had a problem with phone reception yet. No idea if ipod/itune music reading is enabled within the cradle to read your music onto the cars audio from the iphone.

Yeah having a Mobile Phone Business I tend to change phones quite often. I have managed to pair up a numbe pf phones with the Bluetooth Module which are not listed as supported. Iphone, BB 9000, BB9700, E71, E72, 6300, I8000 - they are the models i remember.
Had the iphone paired up for a while now and works really well has never dropped out or caused me any problems J
