To change oil, or to not change oil?

I changed my oil at 7500, then the dealer replaced my cyl head and changed oil as well, then I went in for the 15000 oil change at around 17000. Now Im at 22000. If I stick to changing oil every 7500, I will have to change oil at around 24000, but that is only 600 miles away from the 30000 check up and they do replace oil right?

Should I change now or just wait till the 30k?

Actually I just had my 30k scheduled service and unless you are due for oil change I don't think they will do it. They basically did nothing on my car but looked... I guess...

No, that was under the previous generation Inspection I & II services. What is the countdown mileage displayed by your CBS system?

It was around 8k-9k for the 30k symbol.

So do you HAVE to take it in for the 30k? won't the comp. bug you about it?

Yes, it will bug you unless you reset it. But if your oil change and 30K mile inspection is that close together, then wait to do the latter check and then both services can be done together at one trip.

My 30K inspection happened about 1000 miles before the oil change. I ended up having to make a second trip a week later. I should have waited till the oil change was due and then brought it in to get both services at one time. I planned the remainder of my services that way. You are not "penalized" for being a bit overdue on a service.
