Rolling run again a E90 M3 (40-130mph)

I got JB 2.0 (map 7 & 93 octane)), catless dp, full exhaust, and bms filter in a E90 Sedan

Would adding a FMIC makes much difference?

40-80, not much of a difference
But 40-130 is a significant difference

Assuming the M3 is stock, I think he'll start to reel you in right around 110-120ish........I think anything past that you will need the extra 2 cylinders to keep up.......IMO.

The OP has a 335 I believe, and IIRC 135 are about 150 lbs lighter than a 335.....and from the looks of the video you had that M by about 1/2 car length. doesn't every 100 lbs = 10 hp? If so that's 15 hp more you have on the 335 holding all else equal (mods etc). So then wouldnt a 335 and the M be a closer race than what you youtubed?

Great video btw, but I'm just saying.......

If he gets a fmic, he'll be a full stage 3 tuned 335i. He should win.

FMIC would help, but I think meth with your stock intercooler would be better and you can run the highest map

do not dig that deep

this was shot a year ago - car had no more than 400hp
JB3 (1.2), RR full exhaust and dp, intake, code3 fmic - basic bolt ons

it became much faster after 1.4 btw, but that was another story

one of my mates has a m3 dct with full exhaust and evotech chip - I can beat him from a standstill, but approx on the 350m mark he just passes me with a frightening pace. but not the stock ones

Hmm... I thought a tune and dci would put us close to m3 territory. I guess I might be wrong? How come i never hear any stories or videos of m3s beating a stage 3 335i? Anybody with any first hand experience on losing to a m3 with stage 3?

M3's trap 112-115mph stock, so you basically just need to look at that. I see very few pump gas 335's trapping higher than that.

seems like most JB3 pump gas cars are in the 108-112mph range, no?

once you add in race gas, meth, or obviously nitrous that changes quite a bit though.

Agreed! I have seen a stock M3 vs. a GIAC S1 tune from 30ish to 120 and he got ahead by half a car, the the 335i pulled back to about a fender on him, then he passed the 335i by 105 or so and ended up 1 car ahead at 120.

Thx for the feedback fellas. I do have a 335I sedan with lots of unwanted weight in car... I will pickup a FMIC this spring as i think the car is thirsty for it after the J.B 2.0...;-)
