SMG Auto Transmission Response From a Stop
I just picked up an 07 auto transmission equipped E92 and had a quick question.
I've noticed when driving around town in stop and go traffic, and block to block between intersections that it feels like it takes a second for the transmission to engage fully when slightly pressing the accelerator. I *think* it is supposed to do that to smooth out starts from a dead stop and make the ride nicer, but I'm not sure. It takes a bit to get used to coming from manual transmissions, or compared to cheap auto transmissions that just punch in. Anyone else with an auto tranny care to chime in? I would not think the DCT has the same designation as the ZF-step (which seems to be what this TIS is for - 6hp19)
