There is a wealth of information available about the Procede tune, but I'm a little lost on the very basic stuff.

The install itself shouldn't be a problem (I've had a JB2 in until now), but I'm confused as to where to go from there. Is there a central location where all the maps are available, and is there a list that explains the differences of various maps? Which firmware should I download for a V3 rev 1? And with a manual transmission, which maps? Other than a tune the only mod I have is a DCI.

How does the remote work exactly? How do I know which map is selected when using the remote?

It's not for lacking of searching that I ask these questions, but I would really appreciate any guidance you all have for getting started with a new (used) Procede. For the most part I understand the mechanical / connection issues, I'm just not sure how to get the sofware squared away (the person I'm buying from has an AT, so I know I'll need to make a change from the start).

Buy a rev2 canbus because i think the rev1 comes pre programed to your car from vishnu. PM. Shiv he will tell you.

you can still update the maps on the V1s I think, you just won't be able to take advantage of all the CAN bus stuff. here's the link to where all the maps and info are located.

So here's the deal with the V3 Rev 1 - it's the older hardware but you can still make tons of good power for cheap. The latest code for your car (which is still "beta" but has been out forever) is 11-2. You want to run 11-2 Stage 1 6MT for your car (if it's all bone stock). The correct firmware to run is pro01v03bata145.bin (known just as firmware 145).

Basically you'll do the firmware updates through the serial cable using the user software. I typically will update the FW first (using the "update firmware" command) and then load the map second. IMO it's not very clear on loading the map. The process (again with the user software) is to click on file > open (browse to your map file which in this case would be called stg 1 6MT.pcd - click open and you'll see on the bottom status bar of the user software, the map will upload to the procede box. After that you're done.

Good luck; I think you'll like the Procede. I had a rev 1 and now have a rev 2 with v4 on it. Both are great tunes.

It appears that the maps available with firmware 145 are non-doomsday, so they'll likely throw codes. Does anyone know if there are doomsday maps I can use, and if so, where to find them?
