Excel Dyno for Racelogic loggs
Here is a preliminary release of the enhanced Excel Dyno, which uses logged data from the Racelogic box to estimate horsepower and torque vs. speed and RPM. The basic solution is developed by member spdu4ea and presented on http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=736883 which should have credit for his work.
I've done a couple of small changes to make it user-friendlier like e.g. generating graphs automatically. The new version works on the estimation that pulls are done on third gear, and there is a different application for AT and MT. It should calculate power for any gear, but the RPM value is only valid for 3rd gear. Read the basic description in the link above. Entering of data from the RL-unit works the same. Except for this version uses data that is saved in Excel format in the RL-units PC application. When this is done in the RL-units PC software, it will create two empty columns, which has to be deleted before the data for speed, height and distance is pasted to the Excel Dyno in cell A2. Any previous data in the first 6 columns (A2 to F2 and rows under these cells) needs to be erased before new data is pasted into the Excel Dyno in cell A2. Try it as is and report your findings. I'm sure there are remaining bugs but take it for what it is and don't panic if you destroy the application. Then it is just to download a new one from this post and try again. Don't expect a lot of support, if any, try to work out kinks yourself and learn how to use MS Excel if needed.
