The "Don Juan" has docked

Finally!! My car has reached NYC and has been discharged:rocks: ..off to the VPC. I hope I don't encounter the problems at the VPC I have been reading about (although they mostly seem to be coming from 335 owners)

. I would love to have my car by Saturday, but I think that is wishful thinking. Either way, should be a Happy Thanksgiving for me!!!

Also- any people who have recently gotten their car through the NYC VPR, can you post time from leaving the ship to dealer...

Not only has it docked, it's left for Panama and California. My Sparkling Graphite 328xi should be off to the prep. center. I'd be happy with the day after Thanksgiving.

I was on the Liberty which docked on the 10th and the car was released on Saturday. According to another guy from Maryland that was on the same boat, the car didn't get into the VPC until today. This is from another thread (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...35177&page=6):

"BAD BAD NEWS.

Stopped by my dealer on the way home. My CA check the vehicle status, it reads (saw it myself):

11-15-06 arrival at VPC
11-23-06 will be released to carrier
11-24-06 arrival at dealer.

He is calling the VPC in the morning to see what the holdup is."

What time did you car get discharged? I was off the boat at 12:49

I keep reading about hassles/delays at the VPC, but it seems to be the 335i owners...hope that means our 328s go through in a day..

Well I just happened to see it when I checked the WW website...and it was a slow day at the office...

Well, I put my VIN into the site and it came up that my car came off at 12:49 too so it must be just a bookkeeping time or something.

Interestingly, to show you how deceiving the whole delivery tracking thing can be, when I called the 800 number they now say that my car is waiting for a boat again! I guess it's on its way back to Munich to get a bulb replaced!

Mine says the same thing...I was really hoping it would get processed through the VPC yesterday and on its way to the dealership today...so I can pick it up tomorrow. Now I am just hoping for before Thanksgiving.

Nope - nothing yet. I called her this AM but I seem to remember that she dosen't work on Mondays.

Are we the only two cars on the forum that came over on the Don Juan?!

My ED E90 was on it as well. Trying to get the M-tech bodykit installed at the VPC, so I probably won't see the car for a while.

I think we are...I wish there was a way to track the car after it hits the docks...OC is just too damn slow in updating.

My CA just left me a voice mail. She said the car should be available "...in about a week, just after Thanksgiving." I was hoping to have it this Fri. but I guess not...

Maybe Saturday?!

I talked to my CA this morning. He said that a work order has been printed, so hopefully that means I am getting closer. He is going to call me back this afternoon with an update on why the delay...I will let you know what he says, hopefully it is good news...

Don't hold your breath...according to my CA, it hasn't moved from this morning...so I don't think I am any closer than I was a week ago..which is COMPLETE AND TOTAL BS

Well, I came home from Thanksgiving at my sister's and checked the OC - would you believe it got updated TODAY to say my car's at the prep center?! I felt silly actually checking it on Thanksgiving!

Maybe Saturday...
