autologic reprogram woes...
anyone who has had the autologic reprogram run into the programmer not being able to change the VO? After the info Andrew posted, the shop I'm dealing with was able to get the update and go through the programming (took all of 5 minutes top), but it fails at the point it is to change the VO, which makes the changes not take effect.... starting to get a bit frustrated with it and may just keep it as is, sounds very good already with the bit one. But for the low cost of reprogramming, why not make it the best it can be...
if anyone ran into this and can shed some light on how you/they worked around it, I'd be thrilled with a point in the right direction. thanks in advance! |

The shop needs to upload all the info from your car to the Autologic folks to troubleshoot. It typically will take a few times of back and forth before they fix it.

I had it done and they do not have to change the vo. the new update for the autologic tools (free btw) enables them to go in and simply switch audio outputs.!!!

I watched him do it, he does have the latest update and the changes won't "stick" until the VO is changed, at least on my car. The changes happen, but as soon as you power cycle the car, it goes back to the origional settings, think like not saving changes to a word document and reopening it. I'm wondering if the build of the car matters, mine is an 07 and without looking I think it is 9/07 build (bought out my lease).

That is strange. The changes made are not temporarily they are permanent until the control unit is re-coded again.
As jimk says; the easiest way for me to see what is happening on your car, as opposed to all the others i have seen so far, is to see that info. |

Hi jelly. It looks like you are affiliated with Autologic. Nice to have you on the board. You folks have done a great job with my mObridge bluetooth retrofit on my 2009 CIC based E90 and made it work whereas the dealer said it was not possible to do. I just want to say thank you for providing BMW owners an alternate solution to the BMW coding monopoly. Keep up the good job!
