You can simply get a replacement part from the dealer:

Try TischerBMW www.getbmwparts.com

is the oem replacement part available in black also? Or do I have to paint it like others on here? And does the bumper need to be completely removed for me to replace my broken center mesh?

I'd get in touch with Jason or Evan @ Tischer for more details on the availability.

The bumper doesn't necessary have to be removed. You can remove the plastic guards underneath the bumper to gain access behind or work from the outside in

Just paint it with satin finish paint suitable for paiting plastic outdoor furniture, etc. I've done it along with many others and it looks great

Mike doesn't sell the mesh. Tischer BMW does. Mike sells awesome lighting for your car. You should PM him about that and buy lots of LEDs.

I cannot imagine how you could possibly get the mesh out without removing the bumper first. Even with the bumper removed, it wasn't easy because those clips are extremely stiff. I would also advise against painting them.. that's what I did at first, and I ended up wasting my time as it looked horrible. The black color from plastic dip isn't completely black, it was more like a dark gray from away.

So what exactly did you do? And why didnt you paint the mesh with a gloss black or something heavier? I was also thinking about hand painting with model paint or something...This all started when I noticed my mesh cracked off in a spot! LOL now it bothers me....I have SG with matte grilles, oem perf lipp, and hyperblack CSL's...The grey mesh looks horrible.... I saw somewhere on here that 328 mesh is black,....does it fit?

For the 335i they do not come in black. If you order the black ones for 328i, they are half blocked, not open like the 335i. I had to send mines back.

Most people dont have problems with error codes with LED angel eyes. I run his interior kit and RD LEDs for the license plate without problems. Mike sells quality products.

I don't know about the angel lights, but Mike's interior LED kit is superb. I debated a long time whether I should put down the $100+ for interior LEDs, finally pulled the trigger and I gotta say, it works flawlessly and looks awesome, no error, no BS, just bright white LEDs. I would be happier if it were cheaper like $60 or something, but that's because I am a cheap ass lol.

O and to the OP, don't listen to these bullshit flying around here. Take your bumper off, (yes you HAVE to, especially for the sides.) take mesh down, spray them with 2 coats of normal flat black spray paint, just use the cheap shit like $3 a bottle from Home Depot, down a cold one and put it back on. Don't even mess with that plastic dip shit. Way to complicate something simple.
