Sounds like you're going to have a great B-Day, out of interest, why did you sell the M3 themetz?

I don't know....

Really, I couldn't justify the BIK costs (run the cars through our business) - my car is the 'second' car which I really just use for the daily commute and the occasional jolly. The wife's got a Q7 which we use at all other times to ship the 3 bambinos around in.

To have the M3 soaking up a considerable amount of nett cash every month was too hard to swallow so it had to go!

So not because you couldn't get on with it then, how does the 335i compare?

No, loved the car and would have another in an instant if funds allowed!

Difficult to compare the two really... the power from the 335i is there straight off and is a very quick motor. The M is a little more engaging to drive in as much that you need to work the revs to really get to the power - and when it comes it's a smile on the face every time!

Day-to-day driving there's probably not much in it for getting to A-B pretty quick - but I did have a couple of hours at Oulton Park in the M3 and there is no doubt that the full power is nowhere near unleashed on the road compared to the track.

The M is also that little bit more exclusive...

Loved them both to be honest - and looking forward to seeing what the new N55 engine can do.

Assuming the 335i will depriciate faster than the M3, is the ownership cost that much different?

From a personal view there's significant difference enough!

Is it worth the cost / hassle of the change?

Mind you, anything to keep your dosh out of Darlings sticky mits.

...or 3 or 4....

Couple of "issues" to sort out....could take delivery and then get them sorted, but really not too worried so going to delay collection and have it "right" from the start...

Oh well, will be worth it in the end...
