Snow wheel and tire combo - How do you like 158's with Blizzaks?

I'm considering this option - it's expensive and was wondering what you guys (and girls) think?

For the money, is this a good choice?

Funny how you were at 158 posts when I looked at this...

I have this combination and I think it is great for winter driving. You can see a picture in my run-flat tire article in the (I believe) March Roundel

I do miss my 162s during winter but I CAN drive up an incline now.

i have them, and i bought them for peace of mind, and the fact that BOTH my summer and winter tires/rims are now covered under my tire warranty that i purchased through BMW. Also i like the run flats, that gives me peace of mind too, a bit pricy, but dont mind.

I just installed 162's with Blizzak LM-25s - yes, staggered. Technically not 'optimal'. However, I ran staggered 18s on my e46 M3 with Michelin Aplin snows. It was better than my wife's Jeep shod with All Seasons!

Horrible looking wheels. I would go with a second set of 162s with Blizzaks.

FWIW, I think they look nice. Not the prettiest BMW wheels, but certainly not bad at all.

I've seen them in person on the E92 335i and for 17" wheels they look pretty good on that model. Good enough that I bought them. Oh, i have seen them on the 330 too and i think they look ok. You do, however, pay a premium for BMW parts. I got Nokian RSI tires and will be putting them on this week and heading up to Whistler to do some skiing.
