a couple turbo upgrade datalogs
If you're thinking about doing a turbo upgrade please do yourself a favor and get a procede, it just works so beautifully/flawlessly...
There was a quick break in the rain today so I did a little datalogging... This is on 93 octane, right around 19psi max boost, with the smoothest timing logs I've ever seen. This was repeatable over and over and over again. It's clear I can get more aggressive with things Last edited by jpsimon; 03-30-2010 at 09:27 PM.. |

damn man, I'm sure that feels amazing.
When i'm up at MaximumPsi this year getting my car tuned, want to set up a run? I'd love to see where I stack up against your car now.

Yep, just 93 octane. I can't imagine how this car will do with race gas/meth. I think i had IAT's logged, lemme check
/edit/ At the end of that 3rd -> 4th gear log IAT's were at 93.1° |

why do you think they are low? isn't he compressing even more air now which translates to more heat? not to mention the heat from the babies..

Relatively, it will rotate at a lower rpm in order to make the same boost as the smaller stock compressor, so things should be cooler due to less overall friction. But what the hell do I know? JP is reaching about the same intake temp at the end of fourth gear at 19 psi as I did tonight at 12 psi with stock turbos. |

Those logs are just, well... beautiful!! Check out that boost curve and ign adv.
I'm sure it's on your other thread, but how much are the turbo ugrades, does the engine have to be lifted to fit them and how do you setup the procede to control them? |

In 3rd he is advancing to 10 degrees......actual timing advance, uncorrected. So things must be pretty cool in order to run that much advance at 19 psi I would imagine |

as i posted ealier, any words from EPL about engine potential? as far as turbo itself goes, i am sure you can run over 20psi as long as there is map for it but how about our engine? there was post about piston for our car on ebay, shouldn't we be looking into those slowly with more boost on these babies?
