Remmy never let me down, but now I'm into the next level of shotgun supremacy.

In my experience, yes. Simple and durable.

Agree. Mossbergs have a great reputation for reliability.

If I were to ever purchase a shotgun, it would probably be from walmart and disposed of soon after.

Most people say the 870 is a better quality gun (forums, youtube etc.) But is it worth the extra $100?

I have the 870 with 18" barrel. Never had any problems. Probably cant go wrong with either choice. I wanted the Mossberg because it was a little cheaper but got tired of waiting for one so I bought the 870.

Get a Mossberg 590A1. I chose it because the safety and choke release are in easily accessible spots, and I don't want to fumble with the gun in a situation I really need it.

From experience with the m500... armys verison of the mossberg. It does super well. my buddies shotgun got the shit beat of it correction he beat someone with it and still fired great the next week at the range. Its a more simple gun and its not a super hard weapon to maintain unlike most others. IMO if you only shoot every so often then go with the mossberg. If you shoot quite a bit then choose another.

Congrats 590 is a great gun. Hat shield is a must for shotguns if you are going to shoot lots of rounds or you will have fun reloading.
