I talked to Eric at SP and this was his response,

"The front bodies are stainless but not the rears. Are the shocks defective? I wouldn’t think they are with the top washer rusted. I can show these to FK but I don’t think they would do anything unless the shocks are blown"

So unfortunately I am stuck with these...

This is really disappointing. I was going to pick up a set of these new but after seeing this I am going to get into some PSS9/10. Honestly I would be surprised if you get $500 for those.

any springs for that matter if you chip the paint off yes it will rust even stockers... i dont see any rust at the shock body though... the metal spacers that rusted... those are easily replaced for a couple dollars... those are fine.. i went through tein SS on my lexus and FK Konigsports on my beemer.. i absolutely have no probs... some parts do rust... the whole shock body itself is not affected
