Question Questions for Shiv & PROCede users

PLEASE KEEP IT CIVILIZED...PLEASE POST FACTS

What parameter can the PROcede read from the n54?
From my research I can see that the PROcede can read the following:

RPM
APPLIED TPS
FEUL
BOOST
IAT
WASTEGATE DC
TMAP
THROTTLE BLADE POSITION
02 VOLTAGE
ROADSPEED (MPH)
AFR MONITOR
AMBIENT PRESSURE
CPS SENSORS

Can the one in bold please be explained?
If any of the above are wrong please correct me as well. I see that the website list over 200 parameters, can we just discuss the major ones. What else can it read?

What parameter can the PROcede read from the n54?
The procede can read up to 200+ channels of data upon request through CAN data and handful of analog/digital channel. Among the tune-related input channels are:

RPM
APPLIED TPS
short term fuel trim 1&2
long term fuel trim 1&2
Fuel Pressure
TMAP pressure
Manifold pressure
knock status
oil temp
water temp
ignition advance
IAT
ambient temp
WASTEGATE DC
THROTTLE BLADE POSITION
ROADSPEED (MPH)
AFR/lamda bank 1&2
Rear o2 1&2
DME boost target
DME boost actual

Nearly all of these channels are loggable by the end-user.

AMBIENT PRESSURE-- computed from baro/manifold pressure sensor
CPS SENSORS-- same thing as RPM sensor. It is intercepted and recreated and sent to the dme to alter ignition advance.

There are more channels. But they are mainly used for diagnostic purposes and not for tuning logic.

Let me know if you need more info.

Cheers

Why don't you just email all your questions to the tuners directly? This shit is getting old AltecBX. There's no way in hell I'd trust you to put together a comprehensive and complete chart judging by your posts on this forum. I'm sorry. Leave it to someone who actually has a firm grasp on all of what's involved who also happens to be independent.

Once the chart is completed, you can take it for what is worth. By posting questions in the forum, it shows transparency and gives others to chime in their knowledge as well. It also helps many people searching for questions for this tune in one place.
My finding won't come out of nowhere and basically each parties will not disagree with the result as I'm collecting facts from all sides.

Questions

1) Does this tune have the availability to higher the rev limiter or only a flash can?

2) What safety features does the Procede have in place?

3) Shiv, do you have any features on the Procede that is exclusive to Vishnu?

If you can't think of a single feature exclusive to 'vishnu' on the procede then you are an *****. Why the hell are you making a graph when you have no idea what the hell you are talking about? All you are going to do is confuse people even more.

Why do you have to keep being so naďve in this thread.
I have my list of exclusive features to Vishnu:

Auto-tuning (Future)
Dash Display Map
In Dash Boost Gauge (Future)
Launch Control (Future)
Most channels are loggable by the end-user
Oil temp based boost compensations
On-the-fly map-switching
Valet Speed Limit (Future)

I want to have Shiv confirm or add to this as I don't know whats' in the works or in his head; Or maybe users can add to this as well.

Took these from the firmware update threads and vishnu's homepage...

-User Adjustable
-On Dash on the fly mapswitch
-DME Code Clearing
-DME Code Reading
-CANbus datalogging
-Custom Tunable
-Map updating via laptop
-High Speed datalogging
-Built-in o2 modifier
-Speed delimiter
-Valet speed limiter
-Active Dash Displays
-Oil Temp monitoring
-Warm-up Protection
-Methanol Compatible
-Full Ignition, Fuel and Boost control

Economy/stock mode triggered when cruise control is engaged.
This reduces boost to 5-7psi for maximum fuel economy. There is no map indicating SES light flash with this automatic mapswitch. It should be completely invisible to the driver.

-Now Functional Oil temp based boost compensations
Boost targets are reduced when the engine oil temperature is low. By approximately 170deg F, full boost potential is achieved. Above 260 deg F, boost begins to taper downwards abruptly for engine safety.

-Reactive Throttle Blade logic
We re-mapped how the actual throttle blade reacts to overboost conditions. Both in terms of duration and amplitude.

-Switchable Barometric Pressure compensations
Can be enabled/disabled with the not-so-aptly named "Lagfix" user adjustable. A setting of "0" turns it OFF. A setting of "1" turns it ON. With it ON, those running at higher altitude will run less boost. The default setting is OFF.

-Now Functional User Torque Adjustable (0-100%)
Boost can be lowered by the end user. 100% is the default setting. The lower the value, the lower the boost.

-Now Functional 1st and 2nd gear User Torque Adjustable (0-100%)
Same as above. But specific to gear selection. Reducing this setting in 1st gear can greatly improve traction in some conditions.

-Now Functional Upshift Softening Adjustable (0-50)
In 6AT applications, this setting determines the amount of throttle closure that occurs during moderate to full boost up-shifting. The less throttle closure, the more mid-shift boost spike. The larger the value, the more throttle blade closure and less mid-shift boost spike. The smaller the value, the less closeure and more mid-shift boost spike. The default value is 30.
In 6MT applications, this setting doesn't do much. Leave it alone. Default value is 30.

-Adjustable Learning Gain (Future Use 2 adjustable)
Not exactly new but some of you may not know what it does and why it is useful to adjust it. To learn what it does and how to set it for you particular car, please go The Basic v4 Custom Tuning Guide. Dialing this value in properly will make your car faster and more enjoyable. The Default value is 45.

1 I need more information on the first one. I know Shiv mentioned it but don't know if is going to be a feature in the future.
2 Isn't this Launch Control?

1) already exists in the last maps he put up
2) its not launch control, launch control lets you hammer the pedal and deals with the revs etc for you...this feature just lets you adjust the amt of user torque on a gear by gear basis to let you get more traction manually

Yes, it is fully compatible. But you will have to put the Procede into valet/stock mode. With it in performance tune mode, the Procede's built-in diagnostic tool is working. And you cannot hook up two diagnostic tools to the DME at once. By enabling valet, the diagnostic features of the Procede are disabled.
