Lucky strike :mad0260:
Lucky strike is by far one of the worst bars I've ever been to. *Why do they have a line when the place is half empty? *Is it to make them look trendy? *My friend and I order 2 beers and ask to close out...10 minutes later we're still standing there waiting to close out, so we ask the bill one more time, "we don't have your tab" we've been standing here in front of her for quite a while now. *So she asks for the name again, and we tell her again. *After a little more arguing with the bartender she bluntly and rudely says "you forgot to sign your slip". How is it that she still has the card in her hand and she concludes that we forgot. *So after finishing our rounds and talking to some othe people I decide I'll try ordering from the other bartender who seems uninterested in taking my order...she gives us some really small pours on our shots, which is ok it's a corporate joint. *My bill is 45 dollars and I give her 60. *I stand there for a bit and she asks me what I'm waiting for...my change I replied. *"oh I thought that was tip" why would I tip Simone 15 dollars for horrible service (again) and tiny pours. *Anyone who knows me knows that i have no problem tipping well. *To describe this place as mediocre would be a understatement. *This is my rant and I will never go back. *

Wow, doesn't sound like a very well staffed place. And do bartenders now expect a 33% tip? Maybe if she was pouring the drinks heavy all night, but a round of shorty's? Hell NO. It's too bad that most of the time a tip is expected as just part of the bill, and not necessarily a reward for good, exceptional or spectacular service.
I typically tip $1 per bottle/glass for beers*. That usually works out to 20% to 25%, which for bottles I feel is very generous. "Oooo, you had to take 3 seconds to open the fridge, grab a bottle and pop the cap." *Unless I'm on the company's dime, representing the company, then I tip bigger.

Lucky Strikes is overpriced garbage - we stood in line for 45 minutes+ on a Saturday night when the place was literally half empty. We later heard from other staffers that it's done on purpose to make the place look "hot".
If I'm going to overpay for drinks and the whole bar experience, I'd head upstairs to The Parlor.. don't waste your time at the tarted up bowling alley / arcade with a tiny dance floor and subpar employees |

I been there once two years ago and never went back ever since. Pretty much same experience.
