30FE:
30FE Exhaust fume turbo charger, high pressure side
Error will not cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed
EXPLANATION: Boost too high
FIX: Consult with your tuner.

30F2:
30F2 Glow ignition: cylinder 6
Error will not cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed
EXPLANATION: Super Knock in cylinder 6.
FIX: Excessive knock retard. Lower boost levels, or run higher octane.

Seems like you're running too much boost and triggering super knock codes in cylinders 4 and 6. Clear the codes and run a lower map (map 3) and see if the codes come up. Gradually move it up to map 5.

Jon, stay clear of your car, it's going to explode in about 10...9...8...7...6...5...

30FE = Exhaust fume turbo charger, high pressure side
3000 =
30F2 = Glow ignition: cylinder 6
30f0 =

Hopefully, someone can answer the other ones.

GL man! Did you change anything on your car, lately?

Similar to the 30F2. 30F0 is glowing ignition cylinder 4.

Uuuuh.... those Glow Ignition codes refer to SERIOUS knock/detonation. Please figure out what is going on before driving your car hard. Or something very expensive may need to get replaced!

1) clear codes
2) update to 2.0
3) run some better gas (min 93 octane) when running map 7

The codes indicate that you had an overboost condition (30FE) which may or may not be related to the knock codes. It does not indicate a failing turbo.

Yeah I did get a limp mode.... First one ever.... And I've been on map seven for over a month now... Ran map 5 for a year or so and never had a problem....

@shiv... What can the problem be?

All I run is 93....
I cleared the codes. Ran the car pretty hard and they didn't come back...

It looks to me that your running a map that is too aggressive for your mods...Although you may have gotten away with it, I would go down to map 5 for your mods....30FE is from overboosting...boost too high and 30f2 excessive knocking possibly from not running enough octane or supporting mods to support the map that your on....

My advice is you should not be running Map 7 period unless you have more mods to support it.

@shiv... What can the problem be?
Freeze frame data would more helpful in troubleshooting. But ignition-glow codes indicate excessive knock retard. So lower your boost, increase your octane, and if they continue you'll need to hunt around for other potential causes. The 30FE code is likely a false alarm. As others mentioned update to the 2.0 firmware.

Doubling boost pressure with no ignition advance remapping. AFAK, no other tune that I'm aware of has ever triggered glow ignition codes.

The codes will be triggered if someone runs too much boost for their octane or has some other issue. I'm sure if we look we could find plenty of occurrences of them. Each one indicating some problem that the user was later able to resolve.

Leave it to you to point out a post that implys that a Procede triggered those codes. Check 2 posts later:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=72

And yes, the "superknock" codes are from completely relying on the DME to retard timing. It would throw the same code if you ran a stock car on 85octane. Also bad for the engine. This is fact.

-shiv

PS. the only reason I added those codes to my reference list was from all the reports of "superknock" codes from jb3 users. I have yet to see that code myself.

I think you've been fine with map 7 for the past month since the weather was relatively cooler. You are running on the stock intercooler and today's significantly warm temperature probably didn't help, which may have a part in triggering the overboost. With the jb3, dci, and dps, you should be running map 5 on 93. I'd only run map 7 if you have at least an FMIC or higher octane.

Thats classic....pointing out something that the user never even experienced but was asking questions about!

There is a completley normal level of whistling noise that happens around that rpm when you come from a vacuum stage and get down to -5, -4, vacuum and proceed to transition to boost. It's normal. The police siren is extremley audible.

Did you listen to the police siren video? It will happen even while reving the car while it's parked.
