Bait and Switch Quiafe LSD
Anyone else getting Bait and Switch techique on Vendors for the Quaife LSD for the $1099 price? I'm reading the forums here and vendors are saying they have the best price blah blah blah. I paid 2 Vendors and each of them a week later come back and says they don't have it and want to PUSH the Wavetrac at me.
One Vendor it felt like a USED car dealership, they basically kept harassing me asking me why I didn't want Wavetrac. Anyone have any similar experiences? I will leave the Vendor names out for now. -Joe

That sucks that they are doing that, but I'd rather have the Wavetrac to begin with.

Yeah, I didn't the debate between Wavetrac v. Quaife. One of them had told me their inventory system was off and 5 people ordered the Quaife at the SAME EXACT TIME.

That's a bunch of crap!
Did they also tell you that if you say Quaife 5 times real fast you will go into limited slip frenzy and never eat breakfast again?

it's this kind of BS that fuels my fire about getting ripped off by all the aftermarket companies charging an arm and a leg for "BMW" parts that are 5 times cheaper for a Honda!!! Hate all you A holes that think just because we have a bimmer, we can afford to pay more for the same damn thing! Grrrrrrrrr

IF you have a real problem with a vendor you should post up his name here.
Forums are for helping other members correct ??? My 20 cents

I wouldn't sacrifice what you want because a vendor is giving you the run around. Get it from VAC. They are a quality shop with a superb BMW reputation.

Why are we tiptoeing around the name of the vendor?
Tell us who it is. Otherwise the thread is useless.

^thats BS, they better be crediting your card asap if they don't have it. If not, deal with your credit card company and tell them the situation, they will take care of it (that in essence is truly the point of putting the cc company in between yourself and the merchant for liability purposes).
That is seriously ridiculous conduct...

$250 catch cans? $400 intakes? $2000+ for clutches made by the same vendor that sells clutches for other 500whp+ imports (street disk, 6 or 4 puck, you pick) for $500? $3000-5000 for rebuilds of tiny stock Mitsu turbos? This is ridiculous. -Walter

I know. Impatience and extra cash (or debt irresponsibility) is screwing the rest of us.
Just look at JPSimon's Turbo upgrade thread... countless people on there throwing prices and stating what they would be willing to pay for such product. The two kindest adjectives I can find are clueless and uneducated. The kind of 'enthusiasts' that ruin it for the rest of the community. -Walter

We put on special 5 Quaife differentials at a very aggressive and special pricing and these kits sold quicker than expected. First of all on 4/5 when your order was placed we had two Quaife Differentials left in-stock in limited quantities. You had requested to NOT charge your card until the following day which leaves the the two Quaife differentials on a first come first serve basis. Second of all, I did not make up any stories and what I told you was the absolute truth in regards to the inventory levels. You can go ahead and ask other forum members here such as Creaminz (who I'm sure most of you are familiar with) if they did in fact receive their Quaife differentials. Out of courtesy, I gave you a call on Friday to update you on the status of your order and to simply inform you of the situation which was brought up to me by my supplier. It's unfortunate that this rare situation has occurred and it does not happen often. To clarify, I was NOT trying to push you onto the wavetrac system, but rather I was offering you an alternative solution. I even tried to offer you the wavetrac system at a heavily discounted price which we do not usually do. You then simply stated that I was a lair and would not even listen to my explanation. Yes, we did charge your credit card on 4/6 and upon your request we gave you a 100% refund back onto your card without any hesitation. **********s.com has been in business for over 5 years and going on strong. Well it's 4/15 today and I still have not got my credit back from this Transaction to my credit card. What do you mean you were not trying to PUSH the wavetrac? When I said I didn't want the Wavetrac you handed the phone to some other guy to have him try to push it on me. He Kept asking "Why" it's a better unit blah blah blah. Well I want what I want and for my own reasons, I don't need to explain it to anyone.
The proper way to resolve this issue would have been to backorder me a Quaife for the $1099 price and fulfill my order as I was willing to wait, is what i told the other guy that was trying to push the Wavetrac on me. Overall I think your concept is good, but you guys need to work with a better Inventory Management system to ensure you sell items that are "On Hand" and confirmed before charging people's cards. Still Waiting For My Credit or a Back Ordered Quaife either way. Joe

I'm moving this to the vendor comments section.
Hopefully this gets resolved.
