Do you not need a M3 VIN to buy genuine M3 parts? Maybe that was the problem....

I've bought various M3 parts (bushes, suspension arms etc) and never needed a VIN.
I think years ago with M3 / M5 you needed a vin, but that was probably just to add a sense of exclusivity to the ownership. Although Anneka on here mentioned about some M3 edition parts being by VIN order only, so maybe on certain models........ |

The other day i rang couple of my local bmw dealers and asked them about the part number mentioned above but they said its for M3 and wont fit on E90.
Then i asked what sort of spoiler will fit E90 and how much is that and was told its around £130 primed and if i want it colour coded and fitted then it will cost another £160 and they will need the car for 24HOURS so that it sticks properly. and when i asked about the part number for that spoiler then was told that they will ring me but they didnt. So basically i am back to square one. if someone knows about the part number of spoiler on the car pictured above car then please let me know. these stealers doesnt seem to know anything . your help is very much appreciated. |

I would look on ebay and get one from Taiwan - I ordered one from my E93 vert from there and also had my roof spoiler for my M3 also from there.
Colour coding and paing finish has always been great and they fit very well - if not try Teddy from SSDD but his are taiwan sourced anyhow I believe so you are getting pretty much the same product. Just look for a seller with good feedback. I have never been stung by customs charges either from Taiwan sourced products and they normally arrive within a fortnight. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...item4a9f39029e unpainted - £51 delivered http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Paint...item335c1c867e painted - £90 delivered 99.8% positive feedback - seems ideal - |

Arses. Is a saloon M3 not an E90 then?
The E90 M3 has the same boot as any other E90 saloon, thus the M3 lip will fit on any E90. Buy this part and shove the end of it up their nose. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...22&hg=41&fg=60 |

As Doughboy says, all E90 boot lids are the same, even pre and post LCi so any spoiler designed for E90 will fit |
