Question What might an FMIC, DPs and a bump to Map 7 (JB3) net me?

I currently run a 12.9 at 108 with a dual cone intake and Map 5. What might be my new 1/4 mile time with this new setup? I'm really curious.

Edit: I can't edit my title but of course - I meant JB3.

If you get your launch down right ( on street tires) you should be good for anywhere from 12.2 - 12.5 @ 113-116 mph if you drive right. thats about 400-410 wtq so if you could handle it the right way you could get some awesome numbers.

That's pretty insane! I have good, sticky tires. I'm anxious.

I wouldn't even say the ar design 3" pipes make 40hp/tq gains so I am sure the 2.5" pipes make far less

I do have to agree that for the price they are not too shabby especially if fitment is good, but if you are after all out performance then I would definitely think about the ar design catless pipes. Arguably the best pipes for our cars.

Combined with a good FMIC like the AMS or HELIX units and your car will be transformed into a monster!

DP and FMIC will probably gain you 4-5mph in the 1/4, provided you are using the same gas. Your ET improving is all up to how you drive and traction, but you'll have the capability of knocking off ~0.4.

Let's not forget the cp-e FMIC that's also a beast that no one ever talks about.

uh why doesn't anyone ever talk about the AA FMIC? that thing does wonders for my car.. and go for macht schnell if you're going to go 3"... they are $100 cheaper than AR and they are literally the same pipes besides the o2 bung placement but my installer said they fit the same just the o2 sensors are a tad bit harder to get in (not impossible at all though)

Ya know.. This site...... First, I can't get my username changed for anything.. Second, I only get SOME email notifications of SOME topics I'm subscribed to. Otherwise, I'd have been here yesterday to reply..

ANYWAY...

I think Jon probably meant the extra horsepower with his JB3 turned up for more boost with the new supporting modification...

I was about to start a discussion asking for what the best route to take for FMIC and DPs but I think I'll just figure this out right here and now... At this point in the discussion, I think I'm going with the AR Design 3" catless pipes. I want something that's not too difficult to install... For FMIC, I want something that require as little cutting as possible - but ultimately, I want good performance... So I'm still open for suggestions here...

I'll be getting the BMW oil cooler installed after these mods - and then I'll be looking into a limited slip differential (LSD)... So that should help me with traction big time. I've already got much stickier tires than the run flats the car came with...

So we have Helix, AMS and CP-E for the FMIC.. Which of these requires the least amount of cutting combined with very good performance?

I haven't read anything about AA FMICs so I'm going to leave them off the table for now... As for the Macht Schnell DPs, I'd probably go for those but what's this about the O2 replacement stuff? As far as I know, I need to get something from Burger Tuning in regards to my JB3...

Yeah, $200.00 is certainly very tempting...

I'll be doing Methanol Injection and that turbo upgrade from the company in Miami people have been talking about.. I'm really looking to have this car in the 11s.. I'll get there.. I really don't even plan on making this a track car or anything. It's a daily driver and will continue to be.. I just want the power on the rare occasion that I need it - like when a Nissan GT-R or Corvette ZR-1 comes around. AND - I want enough power that I can have VERY SHORT street races where a car like a lightly modified Camaro SS comes around and I only really need to take it to 70 or so on an empty I-95 and have it obvious that the race doesn't need to continue any further.

I don't make a habit of street racing but if and when I DO race, I don't feel too bad about simply taking it up to the speed limit...

I agree... gotta be prepared for those spirited sprints!

AA is a great intercooler and its pretty huge. I myself am leaning towards either Helix or cp-e. I like the cp-e more because of the oil cooler it comes with. but this might be a next summer mod for me. Meth will be going in next.

I guess it's time I ask my service advisor if he's cool or not. I have no issue with showing my appreciation with ridiculous tips...

Upon further investigation, I see that the cp-e intercooler comes with an oil cooler than SUPPLEMENTS the stock oil cooler. Since I don't HAVE a stock oil cooler, this won't help me. So I'll be looking into an oil cooler in addition to the FMIC and DPs...

Good idea.
I also like the line of thinking, it's exactly the way I want my car and performance to matchup.
I'm definetly going to be following your progress, as I may not get to do all the mods i'd like (my off-duty supervisor I'm sure will put a stop to most requests), it'll still be interesting to follow.
