I just wanted to say...
I F*CKING DID IT!
Hour later I got the rear vband on my downpipe installed. My forearm is scraped up from pushing up against the steering assembly, and my fingers are pretty raw, but the downpipe is loosely fitted. My one tip, point the opening in the vband clamp as high upwards as possible. The best way to explain the situation is like a 'U'. Where the bottom of the U is the skinniest part of the clamp, and due to restrictions, this skinny part needs to point toward the ground with the opening in the U aka the clamp needs to point nearly straight up. This allows it to slide on... Okay, back to work. Just wanted to vent a little bit and try to make someone elses life a little easier with people that may sympathize. Considering these are the first downpipe of its kind, I was worried that it wasn't my fault to begin with. But a good thing to do is to take the vband clamp off, and put the pipe in so it fits snugly so you can see how its supposed to fit before trying again with the clamp in the way. |

Lol. I know how you feel with the dp install. It's quite stressful at times, but when you finally get it done you get a sigh of relief and accomplishment. My hands, forearm, back and shoulders were all bruised up. The pressure in my head was unbelievable and often had some headaches. Too much blood I. The head!!!! Congrats on finishing it up
