For Those who HAVE done a Euro Delivery

I have a production reservation for end of May ED. My question is.... Once the car arrives state side are the holes drilled for the Euro Plate filled or they used for the US plate?

Im hoping their filled as I always enjoy the look of no front plate. Also do you get to keep your tourist plates?

Thanks

You can take the front plate with you on your return flight. The rear has to stay on, if you are lucky it will be in your trunk on the return of the car. Mine wasn't

You can remount the front plate to fill up the holes.

From what I've read here, they leave the plate holder intact.

You can specify to your CA to retain the euro plates. Some folks take the front plates with them at drop off (against regulations).

More,
Sounds like you used the Euro plate to fill the holes... Can the US plate use the same holes created by the Euro plate installation, or does another set of holes need to be drilled for mounting the US Plate?

Right now I have moved the front plate to the rear while waiting for the MD plates. With ED the front plates are mounted on the US plate holder.

I left both my ED plates on the car as I didn't know how to take the front one off, but both of my plates made it home. Now my front still with the license bracket has the ED plate and my rear is the normal CA plate.

Although I have personalized CA plates on order to match my ED plate #.

Just to clear things up:

1. The Euro plate in front is installed on top of the regular US plate holder. As a result, when the car arrives in the US you can just install the regular US plate in front.
2. The Euro plate in back has holes drilled out to match the US plates. As a result, there is no additional holes in the back that ownt be used with a US plate.

Thanks.... Very clear. I guess if I want to take the front plate off, Im going to have to find some kind of plug...

I picked up some plugs at the Porsche dealer for my S4 and they worked perfect.
