Offical Horsepower Freaks Product Update Thread By: Lutz Performance

Hey guys to make it easy for the members here on the board I decide that I would make a thread for both us and HPF to jump on and answer any questions you may have about the HPF N54 Product line. We also will be updating this thread as new products are in design and become available on the market. If you have any questions you can email Myself (Andrew@lutzperfauto.net) or Diego (Diego@lutzperfauto.net) or PM Chris (from HPF) here on E90 Post.

For any of you that dont already know HPF already has some serious kits already available for the E46 M3, and are in development for kits for the N54 platform. Although the details for the stage 1+ kits are still being worked out, bookmark this page as your source on keeping updated on the progress and availability of all HPF products for 335/135.

Currently only the HPF 335/135 Intercoolers are available and ready to ship!

You can email Parts@lutzperfauto.net or Andrew@lutzperfauto.net for more information on the HPF FMIC and how to get yours today!

Here is some eye candy of the rapid protype being worked on by the guys over at HPF
-Keep in mind this is still a prototype and this design is still being perfected and tested by HPF.

To give you guys an idea what a Stage 4 prepared car would be like in the video below you will see the HPF Stage 4 run to 173mph Vbox confirmed speed.

Definitely gonna get that intake manifold when it comes out. Lots of other stuff to do until that comes out though.

Are they aware that the 335i utilizes direct injection rather than port injection?

They are working on finishing the R&D as we speak.

I dont know full details yet as they are constantly working on the system.

I believe there will be 2 options turbo back & Cat-back. And knowing HPF everything will be Vbanded with the highest quality hardware.

Keep posted guys I talk to HPF on a daily basis and what I'm being told on this exhaust, its definitely something to be excited about! So anyone picking one up, hold off just a bit longer!

Sooo, it seems that my suspicions were confirmed: the exhaust manifold will not be with equal length runners...

Nevertheless, this looks very promising and exciting at the same time.

They may be going away from Direct Injection altogether. One reason would be that with port injection, you would not need the stupid HPFP which I am sure will be a bottle neck when it comes to fueling capacity. Also, I doubt that the stock N54 injectors are capable of flowing enough cfm to reach their HP goals. So, it seems logical to dump the existing fueling system with the tried and true port injection.

I won't be surprised if their monstrosity comes with standalone engine management.

I think supplementing is the better word. The DI will still be intact, but it appears the will supplement the fuel with an EFI fuel system on runners of the intake manifold. It seems like a really good idea in my opinion.
