A loaded 335i costs $66K here in Canada not even the IS. At that price might as well go for an M!

No doubt....and I'd take both over it as well. As a matter of fact, I am looking at both of those for my next purchase in early 2011.

Jesus. I would have opted for a decently equipped Caymen S for that price.

pricing on it is ridiculous

I wonder if BMW just did this "is" because of us on this forum, trying to get us all enthusiast to bend over for them.

Do you guys think they'll lower the price on it?

Yeah - that will price many out. I got mine new, similarly equipped for almost 10k less in 2007.

I know the currency is dog meat, but wow. Lots of people have not had their nominal wages go up much, let alone their real wages.

For real. Would rather shell out a little more for a 911.

The "is" increase in power is modest, most of the "is" charm is in the area of cosmetics and joy.

Crazy. I mean you could build a 335is with the BMW Performance Power Kit and exhaust with less on a 07-10 for less (if you were going factory-I know everyone's going say JB3/Procede for the win). Granted you wouldn't have that overboost feature, but still...

I would think that part of it might be attributed to the way Audi's been structuring their models. Not too long ago, the S type cars were competing with the M class BMWs, but now you have a non-M 335s that can give it right back and they have to have RS models. Essentially it's positioned now between the regular A class and RS class cars.

I would think that the 335is is positioned right there-sort of like having a regular 3, BMW Performance 3 and then the M3 to correspond with the A4, S4 and RS4.

That's about the same price you can pick up a slightly used GT-R for.

....I'll take the GT-R.

Wow 70K for a Non M 3 Series....... what the hell is BMW thinking, this should be on a banner on the main page of e90post.com

2016 120K M3's are next.....

I would take a lightly used 911 over ANY 3 series.

$65K is the MSRP for a fully loaded model - nobody will pay that. Most of the is coupes will sell in the $56K range nicely equipped - still pricey though.
