A few months ago i purchased an OEM original Performance Short Shift Kit for my E90 328i from a bmw dealer off eBay. Today i was driving and while shifting it into second the shift knob popped out. once it popped out, one of the black clips broke out of the shifter. I put the knob back on and it doesnt seem like it will pop off again. in case it does pop out again, My question is: Will my warranty cover this ssk on my car? The problem is that I installed the kit myself. so i think they will deny the warranty on the ssk. If it pops off again i'm going to email my SA with whom i'm very close to and see what he tells me. should i contact the seller on ebay to see what they tell me? (since it was a dealer)
