why not just get new rotors? you pay to resurface but they won't last very long. plus wouldn't it be covered under factory maintenance?

That was 2 years and several sets of rotors ago :-) From what I remember I had found only a couple of shops that were willing to resurface slotted rotors, wasn't worth the effort so I bought another set. GL!
