I extended my warranty thru BMWNA last Summer to 7 years/100,000 miles. My Steptronic quit down-shifting into manual and I took it to Autobahn in Ft.Worth where I have bought 2 cars and where I have it serviced. They put me in a 2010 335i loaner for the weekend, replaced my shifter,topped off my oil and re-attached a piece of wood trim all for the $50.00 warranty fee. My SA is awesome and everyone is always about customer service. I hear about some of the negative experiences here on the forum and just wanted to tell about a really good dealership.

I'm thinking about purchasing the warranty. Car has been pretty much bulletproof, but some repairs are costly, and a warranty is a good selling point when and if it comes to that. Another 3 years of no worries.... It would be useful to put together a list of pricing, how much those that have bought the different BMW warranty extensions have had to pay.

can you add the warranty after you purchase the car? Can i go up to bmw and extend my warranty on my 07 with 12k miles.

As long as your car has factory warranty remaining, you can purchase extended coverage at any time. One thing to consider though is that mileage counts...ie purchasing it during the 30-39k range is cheaper than in the 40-49k range

Glad you had a good experience with your warranty...I have mine extended till 2015 or 100k...it's kinda like insurance, you don't wanna have to use it, but when you do have to, man you're glad you bought it
