Pantone numbers for interior colors
As a graphic designer, I'm familiar with the Pantone Matching System; is anyone else?
The issue here is that I'm over 100 miles from my nearest dealer; I have the 335i brochure but, of course, the colors for the interiors are only printed approximations. I'm most interested in Coral Red or Saddle Brown, with jet black exterior. I've seen one car in person (under pretty bad weather conditions and in a hurry) with the Coral Red interior but it appears much darker than the photos on this site. The brochure seems to indicate the darker color I've seen in person. Is it possible that BMW has made a change in the shade of the Coral Red? If anyone on this board is familiar with the Pantone Matching System, I'd like PMS numbers for these two interiors. I expect the gloss versions would be a better approximation but uncoated colors might also be more accurate than what appears on my monitor. Thanx, dickster |

I haven't seen either color in person, so I really can't help you out in terms of the right PMS match. That's a smart move though, hopefully someone can run by the dealer with their swatch booklet.
