Thanks for the tip. I checked everywhere, and it doesn't specify 8x or 8xi. It only says SWS-8.
This is the installation manual that is included with the subs: http://www.earthquakesound.com/IMAGE...sws_manual.pdf For some reason, it says that the SWS-8 is 3.5ohm. |

No, this is a replacement for all OEM systems that have subwoofers under the front seats. You don't need an aftermarket amp, but having one will make the overall system sound better.

I believe the silver face means it is 2 ohm...I had 4ohm ones and the face was black. However my box looked nothing like that.

No brackets needed - these fit in the factory locations under the front seats. And you can install without an amp for a small boost in performance. However, it won't be night/day difference unless you install them with an amp. Let me know!

If my amp can do 4ohm at 100 RMS I would've bought this. My JL M6450 needs 2 ohm subs. GLWS.

accepts speaker level input no remote needed balanced differential inputs can be over powered quality I recommended 6 channel JL amp since you will need to upgrade your front speakers sooner or later. I got mine on ebay for like $250 USD shipped. XD600/6 is new 2010 model, very small hence will fit in your trunk compartment where bluetooth module is stored. You can however invest more on high end amps such as Zapco.

so with a JL amp and these SWS with stock speakers i wonder if its worth dropping like 500$?
since my problem is that the stock speakers dont get LOUD its not the bass or the quality it just dosnt get loud enough . when windows are open i cant even hear my music. i am comming from a logic 7 to a non logic 7 so it hurts.
