WTB E90 6MT lil help plz...
As the title states I am looking for an '07-08 E90 manual. I have been learning a lot about this awesome car the past two weeks. The ones I come across that I like are usually the ones loaded to the gills with all the extras, obviously pushing the price over my limit. I was hoping some of you well informed could give some opinions on the cars linked below: My favorite: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...TAFSRCHUSDTEXT and a comp: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...TAFSRCHUSDTEXT Local CPO offered: http://used.nalleybmw.com/detail/use...-0-717530.html The first seems steep....shouldn't the price be around $28-29000? The second would be mine if the color was right. The CPO needs some TLC on the paint...lots of chips and scratches. Thanks for those that have taken the time to help me out Cheers |

I'd keep searching unless you like the second one. The first one is VERY over priced given the year/mileage, it should be at least 5k less. The 3rd one is really high even though it is CPO that is a lot of miles and the second one does seem perfect and I actually dont mind the exterior color, but I hate the beige inside. I'd keep my eye on the for sale section of this site. There's a lot of good deals on here.

Thanks for the reply 07TT....that's the kind of knowledge and info I'm looking for. The first would be great but the owner can only come off the asking price $2000. If he could come down to 29500 I's buy it today.

also if you are in the CPO market, make sure you speak to adrian avila at South Atlanta BMW... he was my SA and is also a board sponsor on bimmerfest.... great guy and he is in charge of internet sales there... if you want shoot him an e-mail with what you are looking for and maybe he can find something for you that meets your requirements... never hurts to ask... he is not pushy or your typical sales guy... upfront and great to deal with.

THX for the contact FLA335....I might give him a ring. Only problem is I am on the north north side of ATL so that is quite a hike for me.

I've been looking at these things for around 2 months, on autotrader, cars.com and ebay all the time. It's so hard to find exactly what you want, and when you do, it usually has lots of miles or is way overpriced. The few that I've found locally with private owners have high prices. People don't want to believe their BMW that they paid almost $50k for 2-3 years ago is worth less than 60% of that now. Most of the BMW dealerships with CPO cars with good options have theirs way overpriced as well. I think the best bet is to keep looking on autotrader and craigslist and find a low mile car at an indpendent used car place.

Or, do a national search and open your options. Find a independant person that has a cherry car and is willing to negociate. Too many people limit themselves with looking only local. Searching Autotrader.com and Cars.com will land you mostly dealers. Not that you can't get a good car for a decent price with dealers. Your options are less and you will more than likely pay more. A lot times the small independant dealers are auction cars. I would steer clear of them if possible. Most auction cars are other dealers problems passed on. Yes, you would need to either take the time to fly out somewhere to purchase. Or, have it shipped. It is easier than you think it is. The savings and quality vehicle you can find is worth it. |

Prices fluctuate and while we all want to pay rock bottom price it takes some work to do so, and, or some fibbing on the internet to paint a great situation.
THe second cars seems like a great deal. Color is subjective. Your negitiation leverage is based on how long a car sits unsold. In December Carl Black up in Roswell had the very coupe I wanted in Space with brown interior, Manual coupe with premium and sport. They were asking 30k, Then 28,999, then They lowered to it 24,999 and I was all over it. This took months. Why unsold? Color combo is not for everyone and add MT it takes a lot of buyers out. In this case it was not the lack of turbo. Typical MT coupe buyer wants a younger color combo. The car was in incredible condition with 37k miles on it. The bottom line is I am happy with the car at that price. If you shop price you will find one but there is going to be somthing you might have to compromise on. I drove 4 hours from NC to get that car. Pictures, BMW records and carfax give you a good idea. If you get there and its not what you expected you gotta be prepared to walk. |

I bought my 335i from these guys in December. A 2008 AW/Terra E90 6-MT 8k miles, loaded for 34,250 shipped to CA, I paid a premium for mileage obviously, and it was as described. It was not CPO but had a late inservice date of 10/08, so I have 3 full years of warranty. Worth talking to them. I'm sure there are tons of these guys around, and they can find you a car. I also found a guy that was willing to buy from BMW at auction. This would have been the cheapest way, but I was short on time, and as you said finding the right car is difficult so I jumpped on it. |

My previous business was a online car dealership. I started doing more broker and listing services due to demand. We started saving people a lot of time...$....and headache. We have invested the last few years developing the technolgy and system down to a science. I exited the retail model to focus 110% on broker...listing services. PM me if I can help...or...if you would like info. Last edited by UAP1; 04-29-2010 at 05:10 PM.. |

illirep, I've seen your car on autotrader and like every thing about it except for the rear spoiler and lack of warranty. I know the Dinan chip was covered under the factory 4/50,000 I also know that b/c it was chipped it was under more stress. Therefore I would like a little comfort in knowing I won't be broke trying to fix something in the next few months. I can travel anywhere in the world for free, therefore I am not limiting my search to local only. Cheers |

I feel vulnerable giving away my secret car finding trick: crazedlist.org. You can set it up to send you an RSS feed for a car on any market in craigslist.org that you select. You simply tell it the craigslist search terms you want to use, and then you can integrate the RSS feed into your reader, or, in my case, outlook. Then as soon as someone lists your car anywhere in the country on craigslist, you basically get an email.
Of course, it's craigslist. And you gotta be careful. |

Thanks for the replies folks......
Drove home in the CPO car yesterday. This think is a computer on wheels, so there will be steep learning curve!! Got it for $27,750 and a fair trade on my car. Looking forward to learning about BMW's, the 335i, and eventually the tuning will begin! Cheers |
