BMW spa Autohaus
Recently had my car washed at the dealer after I asked wrote down and told
Not to wash car. Now its has the lovely swirls. Just had car fully detailed. I assume they are going redetail it for me to keep me happy. But I want all the marks removed. I brought it there spotless. Does the spa do a good job or should I demand an outside Detailer. Any experience?? |

Funny you should mention this. I've had my car back (different BMW dealer in GTA) three times to remove the swirls that they caused with their machines. It is absolutely brutal. They told me that they would reimburse me if I took it elsewhere if I would prefer. I am shocked that a company that sells $40,000-$170,000 cars would screw these things up so badly and not be able to fix it. Autobahn Detailing on Langstaff (Dufferin and 407) has said that for $250 they will make it perfect. They see this every day. I'm booking an appontment today.

when i bring my car in for service, I leave one sign near the shifter and another one on the windshield saying "Please do NOT wash". I'm sure they think I'm an anal biatch, but at least they haven't washed my car yet.

Now that makes a lot of sense..............someone who knows absolutely nothing about this trying to repair the problem . Pay someone else to fix it properly. Insist that the dealer reimburses you. . My Dealer offered that.

Ya I know I shouldn't have brought it there in the first place but maranello isn't any better. But I would def want picus to
Fix it..... Not sure if they would agree to this. They said they will see wat they can do and then If they can't fix it then they'll maybe allow me to outsource it. I'm going in tonight to speak to the service Manager and ill take it from there. F##kn headaches with the bmw dealerships Any ideas on how I can convince them to make picus do it. That guy does serious work thatll prob blow these So called spa detailers away |

Read my signature, I was also a victim at one time. Picus fixed my car up well. I will never ever let a dealership do the PDI on my car ever again.
One other thing is you could write on the windshield, do not wash in a wax pen. If the writing is touched in anyway, you know it was washed. Then wipe it off when you get the car back.

Sooo attempt number one didn't go so well seems to have washed the car and cleaned a few swirls
But both the front and back bumpers still have them not to mention there a a few hairline scratches / Marks that I knew weren't there before. Not to mention wen picking up the car it took them 45 minutes To find it???? Wth. So I guess on to the second attempt I don't get how they have these detail guys working there if they can't correct the problem better yet If they can't fix it then let nme bring it where I want....picus |

My local ex-stealership gaqve me a free spa for the ef-ups when they tried to fix my clock-spring. No swirling, but they put the wrong products on my seats, left chalky white residue all over. Showed service manager, he offered to re-do them. "I'll lexol them myself. No effen way are you touching my car, ever again. "
