need a quick tip on P21S wheel cleaner

i tried to clean all the baked on brake dust off my wheels and it didnt work at all. i sprayed it down front and back side, left it on for over an hour and sprayed it off. i tried cleaning it off with a soft brush and that didnt work either.

Agreed with TrackRat. I'm guessing the P21s dried in that amount of time. No wheel cleaner is magic (unfortunately) so it's going to take some elbow grease. Once you get the wheels reasonably clean, you can use clay to remove any stubborn stains.

I have tried about 10 different wheel cleaners (including p21s) and none have even touched the black specs of baked on brake dust that my rims had on them. I eventually gave in and bought megs wheel brightener and mixed up the least dilute mix they recommend and only then did the black specks come off (still required about 8 applications per wheel, and I was careful to both remove the rims from the car, and wear gloves, mask, and eye protection. This cleaner is serious stuff, but it has been the only stuff that takes off the baked on specks.

Next time, try some clay. It should help remove spots such as those.
