Weisslicht Angel Eyes, and an error
I've have some Weisslichts on my e92 and I'm getting a lighting error that is slowly but surely driving me nuts.
Besides the error, the lights are very well made and I love the look of them. Relevant facts: -Build date 09/06 -All exterior lights functioning correctly -All wiring seems to be securely fastened. Have checked and rechecked. -No error when light switch is on "auto" or "on" positions -Lighting error pops up on dash with switch in "off" or "parking" positions It also seems like it comes and goes on "auto" mode, but those are the results I got in the driveway earlier. So, my questions: -Is this error to be expected due to build date? -Or do I have defective units? -Is there a different brand I can use to get this stupid error off my dash? I would appreciate it if anyone could.. shed some light on the situation Included: A picture of the offending vehicle

I thought Weisslicht LED AE's were for E90's? Maybe there is a different version but the E90 and E92 design is different, I believe. BTW, I have Weisslicht in my E90. No errors. Just a strobing affect when starting the car due to the bulb check system.

They are offered for a variety of models including the E92.
That is very odd about the error code. I have not experienced that on the E92. Have you tried switching back to stock to see if the error goes away? |

I mean I might as well for the sake of diligence, but I'm 99.9% sure the error is related to the AEs. I had no problem before I put them in and then got the error immediately after installing. And again, all exterior lights are functioning correctly. Is it possible that a set of AEs would be defective in that they throw codes, but are still fully functional?

It's possible but typically it's not an error code issue. Try swapping them to stock first to see if the error pops up. Drop me a PM when you get that resolved.

Update:
So I unplugged from the AE's and back into stock bulbs: both sides: and, lo and behold, error disappears: So, went ahead and switched back to stock.. even though my lights are now crappy stock yellow, I am error-free. Very strange.
