What are the options for Amber Delete for E90 2006 Headlights? LCI? Covers? Replace?

I have been searching for the options and haven't found a clear solution. I want to get rid of the Amber on my headlights. I have seen some covers (internal and external). The internal CF covers look nice but that would require baking the headlights right?

I haven't come up with any replacements headlights? Do the Euro E90's have clear reflectors?

I have seen some external covers that stick on the outside of the headlights. I'm not a huge fan of that but that would probably be the easiest and cheapest solution.

I am not sure of LCI headlights would fit a Early E90.

ANY INPUT is APPRECIATED! I hate seeing the amber in the headlights!

You can purchase covers for your existing headlights or you can replace them with OE clears. You can fit either pre-LCI or LCI headlights into your car. If you do xenons, then you will need some wiring to make it work properly. We are also working on aftermarket replacements that will be more affordable than an OE unit.

I am curious as well. Are OEM clears the same ones that come on the m3's? I am trying to find some part numbers. Thanks

You can get them through the dealer or through the classifieds section. You just have to watch out for the condition if they are used.

We don't sell smoked overlays, we do have painted overlays coming shortly.

Check out this thread. Someone wants to trade their Silver CF headlights for stock OEM + cash.

Another option would be Bimmian's headlight covers.

Kinda like the Ambergones... cheap and should be easily reversible. Someone needs to make a cut-out template since vinyl is pretty cheap and easy to find.

x2 on smoked Ambergones, won't stand out as much as painted ones and does a pretty good job of covering them up IMO. Personally I could never blow the kind of money some people do on a set of new headlights just to get rid of the amber, but if you're upgrading to Xenons from halogen, or to LCI, that's a different story.

Looks okay but at $150.00 for something that probably cost $2.00 to make + the cost of paint I will pass.

Yes, I have a AW and am curious to what black or smoked would look like. I guess with blackout grills and black lines the dark look should match nicely.

Mine are smoked, and I think they would look great. At the very least I feel like black grilles are a must. Here's the pictures I was looking for earlier, a bit hard to tell, but this is what they look like straight on.

Looks good! Stealth bulbs or chrome amber bulbs would get rid of the Amber color even more!

Yes, we used to carry the CF Amber Gones, however, removed them from the choices on the site due to bubbling issues from heat. The gunsmoked amber gone has been one of the most successful and popular color choices by car.
