Zymol Cleaner Wax or Meguiars Gold Class Liquid??

Hey experts,

I've got the time tomorrow to wash and wax my car... I have been putting off ordering the more expensive Zymol Creme Wax and won't have it in hand for the job tomorrow.

My car is pretty contaminate free. Though, I'll clay it before I wax. I've got no swirls at all.

In my garage, I have two waxes on hand: Zymol Cleaner Wax (the cheap kind from Target) and Meguiars Gold Class Liquid. If you had to chose between the two, which one would you use?

Thanks!

Since you're claying and the paint sounds like it's in good condition, you probably don't need a cleaner wax. I'm pretty sure the cheap Zymol stuff is rebranded Turtle Wax anyway. The Gold Class line is good, so I would go with that.

Much appreciated! Thanks!

Online now shopping for some Klasse AIO and SG... seems that people around here prefer this stuff to wax. I'll do the job right with that in a month or so.

Klasse AIO is technically a cleaner, but does leave behind some protection. It's very good stuff for cleaning and removing water spots, but I wouldn't recommend it for an LSP (last step product).

Ideally, you want a sealant to protect the paint and a Carnauba wax to add some extra protection and really amp up the gloss. Many sealants leave behind finishes as good as most waxes (such as Blackfire Wet Diamond) so a wax is not always necessary. Optimum Opti-Seal is also easy to use and leaves a nice shine.

I would strongly recommend either of those products for good protection (3-6 months) and a great shine.
