Asterisks when receiving calls...

Okay, so I actually searched and surprised nothing came up.

When I receive a call on my phone, I-Drive will grab it and I'll immediately look to the screen. I see a bunch of asterisks. I don't get it. When I first had the car, it worked for a good portion. Now, the asterisks are popping up more and more. The last 4-5 phone calls it seems I can't see the persons name. I have to reach into my pocket and grab the phone.

So odd. Whats up?

I thought I was getting blocked calls, but when I look at my phone (iphone) I can see the number/contact.

i get the asterisks when i dial from the actual phone and not from the bluetooth interface.

I never get them on incoming calls.

try to figure out exactly in what call scenarios you get the asterisks so we can better diagnose the problem

Bummer. I thought I was the only one for a second, and now it seems like the bulk of the peeps have the same issue.

WELL, maybe we can gather some info yea? I have the following:

09 335i with I-Drive (not sure what version) Smartphone integration
iPhone 3g (software 3.1.3)
Asterisks 75% of the time on incoming calls

Add anything else you think is important.

It seems like I get the asterisks more when I use my iphone directly rather than through idrive and for about half of my incoming calls

07 E92 without idrive, but premium package with bluetooth connectivity
iphone 3gs 3.1.2
I get asterisks for about 50% of my incoming calls, never outgoing.

had it happen to me once, but it was only that one time so far. I've only had my car for 3500 miles so far though. Also, i've got an htc winmo phone, not an iphone.

The same thing is happening to me with a BB Tour.

I get the **** when I dial out, but I can see the name when someone calls.
Also when someone calls the call is answered automatically, there is no option to accept or reject.
