I want to get clear bra but...
Well I have decided I need to get clear bra for my Bimmer. I have had it for almost a year now and its still a great shape however I have a few chips/ gouges on my bumper. I have two small paint chips about the dia. of small mechanical pencil lead on my hood. I would lke to get these fixed before I get the clear bra installed but I hear that if I have someone professionaly fix the small paint chips they will need to cure for 1 month before clear bra can be installed. I have seen pepole wet sand paint chips but how does it work with metallic paint... and what about my bumper can it get it repaired in spots where the chips/gouges are instaed of repainting the bumper. I do not drive the car in the winter nor will I ever, so I have managed to keep it in great shape!
I want the best result possible because I am very particular about my cars! Thanks |

My clear bra installer filled in all the chips just before applying the bra. My car was 3 years onld at the time and had 32k miles worth of chips. I don't think you need to wetsand anything. I've heard that you should really let them cure first or the touchup paint will come off should you ever remove the clear bra. However, I've had to get a few sections of my clear bra replaced and no paint was removed when they pulled off the film.
