What's a Good Price to Flip '07 335i For?
Longtime Lurker, newbie poster here. Thanks in advance for your help.
After nearly 3 years of driving the car I've always wanted, the lease is ending. I have a '07 335i Sedan Black Sapphire, Sport, Winter, Premium, Step, Xenon, Satellite with 25k miles ending in July. The Residual is $29843, and I want to flip it as a CPO with maintenance upgrade. I want to use the 0.9% CPO financing for 60 months and negotiate the Maintenance upgrade and the buyout price. The most recent Manheim pricing I found by searching was from December, and the low mile 335i sedans were clustered around $24k. Based on what I have been reading on your posts, I think I should be looking for a deal priced like this: Current Manheim Auction Price + Labor for CPO inspection (1 shop hour seems right) + Maint upgrade market price (not MSRP) + modest profit for dealer Does this make sense? If not, please help me correct any misundertandings I might have. If so, can someone provide the Current auction price and the Maint Upgrade market price for this car? Thanks, Kubcat |

Yes, your logic makes sense. But BMW would not budge much from the residual on my 2007 335i. I said okay and walked away.
If you can negotiate a fair deal along with CPO status it makes sense though. By the way, I also discovered the great lease deals we obtained in 2007 are long gone! Dave |

So here's what they offered. Is this a good deal:
For the full residual of $29843, plus internal processing $75 Taxes $2387 CPO warranty plus full tank of gas, detailing, brake pads, etc. 2.9% 60 months financing CPO special out the door price with tax 34981 waive the last lease payment (606) Monthly payments $583 What could I sell this car for with CPO as a private seller if I decide I do not want to keep making the payments? Please help, as I am really torn over this, but the 2.9% promo rate expires 6/1 Thanks for the advice, Kubcat |
