Why does my clock radio sound better than the L7 radio?

Doesnt' make any sense. Same situation with the e46 HK stereo. CD's and MP3s and even the USB input sound great, but the radio sounds like hell. My wife's Camry's radio is 10x better. I keep the tone flat for the most part.

I've been disappointed with L7 to be honest. First I had my radio replaced (freezing/bugging issue)....Then my amp replaced (Bass kept shutting off randomly)....

Everything seems to be good now. I was amazed at the sound quality after the new amp was installed.

I think it's better over stock...been in a few 328 loaners with basic packages. The sound quality is terrible.

Mine sounds great, granted I'm not a huge audiophile. I was just in my friend's Rav-4 today and it was horrible. Have you tried playing with the EQ and surround settings?

Why would you bother to play with EQ settings on the radio, though? Unless its satellite, which should already sound superb.

Satellite sounds worse than FM IMHO. But this was with XM when I had my free trial on my Accord. Listened to it for all of 5 minutes because I couldn't stand the compression. It was like a 64kbps MP3.
