JL Audio 6W3 or 8W3 - will they fit?
As the title says will the JL Audio W3 6" or W3 8" subwoofers fit the e90's stock underseat subwoofer area?
What are the options other than Earthquake 8" SWS? |

I typed 'JL 6w3' and 'under seat' on both google and e90 search boxes and all I can find is my own thread - this one. Then I searched for just 'JL Audio' and all I could find was 10" or 12" JL installs.
am I doing it wrong? |

I think he's more referring to search on topics devoted to the under seat enclosures as opposed to JL specifically. Those enclosures have very limited depth and the inside of the enclosure is not flat and even. It's not just about mounting depth with those enclosures. You also have to consider things such as magnet diameter.
I would definately not think an 8W3 would fit, and I would really question the 6W3 fitting without seriously building up the depth of the mounting baffle. Then make sure it doesn't hit the seat rails with that elevated baffle. Mounting depth of a 6W3 is 108mm. |
