Angel Eyes and Warranty
I have searched the forum for about a day now and could not find a clear cut answer to my question.
I am planning on changing the angel eye bulbs of my E92 to the GP Thunder 7500k H8 replacement. Before I go ahead and place the order I would like to know if this simple bulb switch would void my warranty as I still have it intact? And also do you recommended the GP Thunder bulbs? |

If your OEM bulb is not in place then technically your warranty is voided.
The Lux H8 or Angel iBright is a better option if you want something brighter |

Worst Case scenario (unlikely) - If the bulb destroys the headlight housing, then the dealer may refuse to replace any part of your headlights that were directly damaged because of your after market switch.
However, your drivetrain warranty will not be voided, unless changing the light bulb caused full on car failure. In any event the burden is still on the party making the claim to prove that changing the lighting can damage the fundamental mechanics of the car. In other words - you should be fine.

Thanks for all of the input guys.
The Lux H8 and Angel iBright are pretty expensive for just two bulbs, so I think I'll still with the GP Thunder. As for taking it into the dealer I guess I would just turn my driving lights off via I-Drive. Simple things like these bulb switches wouldn't throw codes right? |

My friend had an extra pack of GP Thunders so I put them in today.
Installation wasnt too bad, a little annoying trying to screw the lights back in. They are not as bright as I thought, especially since I have my headlights tinted, but for $15 and no more ugly stock yellow ill take it. When I save up a little more I would be looking into brighter ones. The Lux H8 and Angel iBright are highly recommended for brighter? Later I will upload some pics I took on my phone. |
