I don't know -- wouldn't vaseline fling all over the inside of the wheel well and the side of the car once the tires got warm? I'm assuming you must use a very light coat of it?
Oh - and I should add that I read here all the time about people waxing their painted rims. I Zaino-ed my new rims before putting them on, in the hopes that they'd be easier to clean later. ![]()
